Warwick Gardens Apartments

Located between Jefferson Ave. on the West, and Marshall Ave. on the East; bounded by Ellen Road (Betsy Lee Gardens) on the North, and 48th-50th Street on the South, in Newport News, VA 23605

My Family lived in the Warwick Gardens Apartments (see Map) from 1952 to 1955, during which time
I attended Briarfield Elementary School from 1st grade through 3rd grade.

These photos were taken in the back yard behind the apartments.  In second picture from left, I am standing next to John Collie.  John's mother was Shirley Collie, who worked at a Toy Store located in the Warwick Gardens Shopping Center, the same shopping center that contained Diamond Pharmacy, the Colonial Store, and Mikes Restaurant.
