Photo on the left is my Mother, Marie G. Eubank, standing in front of Warwick's One-Hour Cleaner that was located on 25th Street, directly behind (and connected to) the main Laundry building on 24th Street.  The building in the background is the Warwick Hotel Annex, which housed a series of lower priced or budget hotel rooms.  Between the Annex and the Warwick Hotel main building, part of which can be seen in far background (upper right side of photo), was a small park that included a playground for kids.  I spent many hours in this playground before and after school (see A Little Personal History).  The Warwick Hotel main building still stands and has a fabulous history (National Register of Historical Places), (National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials).  The other photo is Mom siting inside the 25th Street office, most likely wondering how she ended up in a place like this.  Photos were taken in the Winter of 1958.
